When dental caries has reached the pulp or the tissues surrounding the pulp and periapical area, root canal treatment is used to treat it. Initially, these treatments were completed in three to four sittings, which became tiresome for the patient. Single-sitting RCT is a non-surgical, conservative method of treating teeth with endodontic issues that involve biomechanically preparing and sealing the root canal in a single visit. Until recently, a root canal treatment (RCT) required several lengthy sittings. However, due to technological advancements, traditional root canal procedures have made tremendous strides recently. A single-sitting RCT can be performed in a single session for an acute illness without pus accumulating in or around the tooth. In this case, the most important diagnostic tool is an X-ray. It reveals whether or not pus has accumulated. These treatments can now be completed in a single day and in 45 to 50 minutes.
